A floor plan radically changed: The original request to renovate a bathroom and replace the kitchen floor turned into a complete renovation and redesign of two apartments with a total of 135 sqm. The client had already been living in two adjacent apartments for several years and was not satisfied with the situation. A pillar also prevented the installation of a generously sized kitchen. THE INNER HOUSE developed a design to connect the two apartments, remove additional walls and give all the rooms a new function. The new floor plan allows for a spacious kitchen with dining area, an open-plan living room, a primary bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a home office and a guest room with integrated gym, sauna and another shower room.
The design is modern and welcoming, with golden oak flooring, neutral tones and accents of blue and green. Highlights include a walk-in shower with heated bench, a compact home sauna, a gourmet kitchen and custom-made fixtures.
